about

A song about loss and recovery. Originally from the album Get it Right this Time. Started out as an experiment for a Beatles-esque neoclassical demo. The low end percussion is me banging on my guitar case.

lyrics

You walk away in the fields of Prospect Park
The day just slips away and the fields grow dark

And all the songs you play
Fade like the day
And all the words you say
Begin to turn grey

You stop to search for peace that's so hard to find
You stop and stare at all you've left behind

And all the songs you play
Fade like the day
And all you ever knew
Is changing today

It's time to go no time to laugh
It's time to find your better half
It's time to run for cover once again

The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
And through the trees your life begins to spark

And all the songs you play
Start playing again
And all the words you say
Come back again

It's time to go no time to laugh
It's time to find your better half
The wheels go 'round
It's time to run again

The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again in Prospect Park
The sun comes up again
